Oyo State Transport Project (Terminal 1) – Iwo Road, Ibadan, Oyo State

CLIENT: OYO STATE GOVERNMENT

PRIME CONTRACTOR: PLANET PROJECTS LIMITED

SUBCONTRACTOR: JDB NIGERIA LIMITED

STATUS: ONGOING

YEAR: 2020 TO DATE

DESCRIPTION: When completed, this project would help decongest the Ife road axis of Ibadan from incessant gridlock which has become a trademark of this area. This gridlock impedes the free movement of vehicles, especially for interstate commuters which necessitated the construction of this world-class terminal as part of the urban renewal strategy of the Governor Seyi Makinde administration.

This terminal boasts facilities such as a world-class terminal building, ticketing booth, ATM gallery, restaurants, public convenience, a water treatment plant, generator house, gatehouses, staff offices, VIP lounge, passengers’ waiting area, loading bay, control room, storage, and a large area to accommodate high occupancy buses.

This terminal would be linked to terminal 2 along Iwo road by a sky link bridge which would offer commuters an easy network between the two terminals.
